Annie St-Hilaire, M.A.
Associate, Registered Psychologist
Annie works with children and adolescents experiencing challenges with anxiety, low mood, attention, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships and social skills. She particularly enjoys collaborating with caregivers to enhance their strengths and their parenting skills. In addition, Annie conducts psychoeducational assessments to answer questions about cognitive functioning (intelligence), as well as to identify learning disabilities and attention difficulties. Annie relies on evidence-based interventions and her main therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). She also tailors her interventions to each child’s specific needs, incorporating elements of acceptance and commitment therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and interpersonal therapy. Annie provides services in both English and French.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, she worked for many years at the Francophone School Board of British Columbia. Annie completed her Master’s degree in clinical psychology in Quebec. After having obtained a psychologist license in 2002, she started her career practicing as a school psychologist. She also worked for several years in a private practice in Quebec City providing a range of psychological services to children and adolescents, including therapy and psychoeducational assessment.
Annie is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (#2234). She is also a member of the BC Psychological Association and the Canadian Register of Health Service Psychologists. She is still registered with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec as an out-of-province member.
